AFD had the exciting opportunity to be interviewed by NBC as part of their coverage of the FIFA World Cup! 🇫🇷⚽️
It was a wonderful moment to share our passion for French culture, celebrate the strength of our Francophone community in Dallas, and talk
about the incredible excitement surrounding the French national team’s World Cup journey.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last week at SMU for the screening of Motherland by Johanna Makabi, followed by a
thoughtful and engaging Q&A session.
It was a real pleasure to share this special evening with such an attentive and curious audience. We were truly inspired by the quality of
the reflections, the questions, and the conversations that continued well beyond the screening.
Events like this — where cinema becomes a space for dialogue, discovery, and cultural exchange — are exactly what we aim to foster within
the Alliance Française de Dallas community.

In the A2.2 class at Alliance Française de Dallas, teacher Charlotte introduced a 10-minute activity one month ago to help students reflect
on their learning journey. Since then, it has become a meaningful part of the class, giving learners a chance to recognize their progress,
build confidence, and celebrate how much they have achieved in French over the past weeks.
Here is one of their first podcast projects: La Famille de Joey — a great example of their creativity and the confidence they are
building through speaking French.

I am in my fifth year of adult French classes and workshops at AF. Without exception all my professors have been highly experienced,
professional teachers – native speakers – with excellent French language teaching technique. They are always well prepared for each class,
enthusiastic and patient. The teaching materials used are very effective and up to date.
I unequivocally recommend AF for whatever your level of French may be – beginner to advanced. As an added attraction, you will invariably
meet interesting and fun people amongst your fellow students.
Being back in the classroom, both virtual and in person, at the age of 57 is a JOY. I’m so grateful for the opportunities afforded me and
for the teachers who work so hard to provide interesting classes and workshops. I’ve met so many lovely, interesting people in class and
learned about an enormous variety of topics: the French language, cuisine, culture, the Francophone world, art, music, even the story of a
very brave wartime pigeon…
