Founded in Paris in 1883, the Alliance Française is a dynamic network of local, independent chapters passionate about promoting the French language and celebrating francophone cultures.

The network currently boasts more than 800 chapters in 130 countries, with over half a million students worldwide. The U.S. network  counts over 100 Alliances and more than 24,000 students.

At your local Alliance, you’ll find a community of francophones and francophiles who are eager to share the beautiful French language, culture and history with you.

Your donation to the Alliance Française helps promoting the French language and francophone cultures as well as exchanges between French speakers and local communities. Your donation will contribute to cultural diversity in the Dallas community.

Donations are used to support cultural programs throughout the year, purchase supplies and resources for classes and activities, improvements to the library and premises, and to support the general operations of the Alliance Française.

Whether it is on your own or in collaboration, whether it is a financial contribution or your time, you can: make a difference, change, grow, give and learn through cultural understanding. Embracing cultural diversity can inspire, influence, provoke, and change the way we think and act, ultimately redefining the world we live in.

The Alliance Française of Dallas is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that receives no operational funding from any government sources, local or French.

Matching Gifts

What are matching gifts?

A matching gift is a benefit offered by a corporation to encourage charitable giving by its employees through matching cash donations, or volunteer service time, to nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations.

Each corporation has its own policies regarding minimum and maximum amounts and other eligibility requirements. Check with your Human Resources representative about your company’s policy.

How to proceed?

Many companies will match charitable contributions made by employees, doubling or even tripling the impact of your gift.
